Northern Remote Canada

The Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut provinces are very remote and have few roads.  They make up only 0.3 percent of Canada’s population yet they make up 48 percent of the land area.

Weather:   This area has the worst weather of all areas.  Eureka, Nunavut has the lowest temperatures in Canada, where the temperature can drop to -58 degrees Fahrenheit.  The highest amount of snow in the region is found in the district of Mackenzie in the Northwest Territories where highest average amount of snow is 115 inches.  In many areas, it is just too cold to snow.
