Western Canada

The western provinces of Canada are highly developed near the United States border.   There are roads throughout most of the locations.  The Canadian Rockies influence this region.  The areas west of the Rockies are warmer but get more snow.  The eastern areas of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are cold and dry.  They have similar weather to North Dakota in the United States.

Weather:  The highest average amount of snow is in the Kootenay region of British Columbia where there is an average of 546 inches.  Thompson, Manitoba has lowest average temperature of  -17 degrees Fahrenheit.
