EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
To effectively provide enrichment beyond the classroom, an educator must provide a flexible learning environment that encourages individual ideas while catering to all thinking styles. Excellence is not an act, but a good social habit developed by a positive approach to maximum potential learning. Gifted education is not an honor or a privilege, it is a need. (J. Clark 2002). The activities on this site are designed to meet this need by encouraging individualized highly motivated creative learning through differentiated processes and products. It was developed for students to improve their independent decision making and creativity skills.
Wood Services Resource Section has been noted as one of the largest complete enrichment resources areas in the United States. There are 773 links in 14 different subject areas. The site is noted for a huge selection of United States and world travel resources and a vast resource bank that can be used for individual research projects.

ALASKAN ADVENTURE
There are many activities based on a real Alaskan documentary made by Wood Services. Analysis of glaciers, native cultures, geography, and transportation features highlight the site.
WOOD RAIL
The student need to collect data from all train routes. Then a time schedule is made with the most efficient use of cars in order to make the most routes throughout the day. Map skills, table analysis, and graphing are the good goals.
NICARAGUA IN PERSON
This site shows actual photos and experiences of a two week trip to this beautiful country. Highlights include Managua, Little Corn Island, San Carlos, and Granada.
EMERGENCY ROOM
Emergency Room is a summer camp curriculum that was implemented for ten years. Activities involve creating an emergency room, examining pig parts through surgeries and providing trips to ambulance and hospital locations.
